TikTok was the most downloaded app in 2021 and its dominance in the social network sphere is increasing. Following on from our previous State of Social Media in the Public Sector reports, we decided to undertake a desk-based study of how government and public sector are utilising the app. This sector is not considered an early-adopter of social media generally, and it is our view that this is the case for TikTok.
