Column – Is it time to embrace influencer marketing in the public sector?
I have asked this question before on this podcast.
So let’s see if the answer has changed in 2024?
The simple answer is no. I still say that you should embrace influencer marketing.
Influencer marketing is powerful for public sector for a number of reasons.
- It provides you with relatable content
- It brings attention to a serious public interest campaign or set of messages
- It influences citizens to inform themselves at a deeper level
- It makes your public sector role more tangible
- It allows you to access audiences that are hard to reach
- You can have a TikTok presence without being on TikTok
- You can grow Instagram or other key social networks
- You can start a national conversation
So there are lots of reasons to embrace influencer marketing in 2024, would you add any others?
